Energy Star - a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. A wealth of information regarding Energy Star-certified products, home improvements, and a number of other tools and resources. A section on common household problems and how they can often be solved by improving energy efficiency. U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) - a national non-profit organization comprised of architects, builders, governments, and community leaders that aims to promote “green building” in the United States. Among other resources, the USGBC offers a Green Home Guide, which provides a variety of information for homeowners.
