Election Inspectors

The City of Birmingham is looking for qualified people to work and manage voting precincts on Election Day.  Duties include checking voter registration, issuing ballots, maintaining precinct records, and lending support to residents throughout the voting process.  Election inspectors are paid an hourly wage. They work from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Election Day, and may also choose to work during the early voting period. 

To be considered you must:

  • be a registered voter in the state of Michigan;
  • be at least 16 years old (the voter registration requirement is waived for inspectors under 18);
  • attend paid election inspector training;
  • have strong computer skills.
