Shain Park (located on Merrill Street in downtown Birmingham) which is considered the heart of the City.  Features include a plaza fountain with granite décor, a band shell, a new children’s play area, granite paved Merrill Street with the Marshall Fredericks statue in the center of the park, a performance stage area with open lawn space for large audiences (home of the In the Park Summer Concerts)
