Chad Smith grew up in the Birmingham-Bloomfield area and attended school here, where he learned to love drums. During our 2014 "Sounds of Birmingham" exhibit, his family connected with the Birmingham Museum and made it possible for him to loan a number of items from his personal collection for our display.
