Next (formerly Birmingham Area Seniors Coordinating Council (BASCC))
Next offers a variety of programs, including creative arts, computer classes, cards and games, fitness and sports and health and travel opportunities. Outreach services that allow older adults to live independently include information & referral, transportation services, nutrition support and more. Active adults 50+ have enjoyed the programs and services offered at the Next Center for over 36 years.
The City of Birmingham, in partnership with the Birmingham Shopping District, Next and the Baldwin Public Library, is a proud partner of the upcoming Boomer Summit on Saturday, April 30th from 7:30 a.m. - noon. The community based program will be held in the auditorium of Birmingham Groves High School, located at 20500 West Thirteen Mile Road, Beverly Hills, MI 48025. The high-energy program will feature speakers, music and giveaways, and offer Boomers with ideas, opportunities and inspiration. Birmingham Youth Assistance
The mission of Birmingham Youth Assistance is the prevention and reduction of juvenile delinquency, child abuse, and child neglect, by providing community based casework and counseling services as well as providing alternatives for children and families that live within the boundaries of the Birmingham Public School District.
Birmingham Youth Assistance is a partnership of: the Oakland County Circuit Court – Family Division; the City of Birmingham and the Villages of Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms and Franklin; Birmingham Public Schools; and community volunteers.
