The Birmingham Fire Department is continuing its dedication to community risk reduction by offering a smoke detector and CO detector home evaluation. These home safety evaluations are to make sure all smoke detectors and CO detectors are in proper working order, are within the usage date, and also to ensure they are installed properly in the best location for your family’s safety. The Birmingham Fire Department has free smoke detectors and CO detectors available for those who meet the requirements. Home safety evaluations are offered to any Birmingham resident.
