The Birmingham Museum is Temporarily Closed for Construction, June 14-August 9
- We are restoring half of our original double hung windows and will be closed to the public during the restoration, but staff are available to answer questions, respond to research queries, and working with our collection.
- We're also preparing for our new exhibit, which will open August 9, entitled, "A Tapestry of Birmingham: Exploring our Diversity"
- When we re-open, we will return to our intermediate schedule, Tuesday through Friday from 1-4 pm and by appointment.
- Requests for in-person presentations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. In person lectures at the Baldwin Public Library will be held on a monthly basis from October, 2022 through March 2023, pending public health conditions. For more information, see our events listings.

Business Hours: Museum staff are on hand Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. Appointments for research or special tours can be made outside those times in advance. Closed holidays in accordance with the City of Birmingham's holiday schedule.Admission:
Seniors (65+): $5.00
Students (5-18): $5.00
Children under 5 are FREE.
Friends (Birmingham Historical Society) Members: FREE

Enjoy 2 hours of free parking across from the Museum, at the Chester Street parking deck. A credit card is required for entry, but no charge will be applied if the visitor exits the parking structure before the two-hour limit.
